Each week I will choose a spiritual and inspiring quote and publish it in this section.  I will also add a comment on why I think it is a good quote.  If you have any suggestions please pass them along to Me.  I hope you enjoy this feature.

In my deepest, darkest moments, what really got me through was a prayer. Sometimes my prayer was 'Help me.' Sometimes a prayer was 'Thank you.' What I've discovered is that intimate connection and communication with my creator will always get me through because I know my support, my help, is just a prayer away.

I can identify with and appreciate this quote because, like Ms. Vanzant, I believe our relationship with God is intimate and what works best in that relationship is communication.  That communication can be as simple as "Help me" or "Thank you", but it is always special because it comes from the heart.  God is always by my side and when I need Him all I do is put out my hand and hold Her hand, and that is what is called prayer.
