Marcus Aurelius

I have run into this quote many times, but was unaware of the author.  Marcus Aurelius was a Roman Emperor, apparently one of the better ones and a published philosopher as well.  Interesting, but this quote for me is very spiritual and very much a part of the teachings of Jesus.  Each day is full of God's blessings and gifts and most of the best ones are free and all around us if we recognize and accept them.  The sun rise, the purr of a cat, the sound of music, the comfort of mash potatoes; they are all God's gifts to you.  Accept them freely and don't forget, every now and again, to give thanks.                                 The Rev.
