A New Plaque In The Narthex

New Plaque

You will notice a new plaque in the Narthex as you enter the Church.  It commemorates the considerable fundraising effort that went into building the new Church after the fire in 1985.

Ann Bodwell bought the stained glass window and dedicated it to the Church as a part of our 125th Anniversary Celebrations.  Thank you Ann!  Here is what the plaque says:

This stained-glass work of art is a part of our history.  The glass was retrieved from the old church that burnt down in 1985.  This wall hanging was one of a number of hand-crafted pieces that was sold to parishioners to help fundraise for the new building.  ‘Do God’s Love’ is St. John’s motto and we would very much like thank Ann Bodwell, in loving memory of her husband Bruce, for donating this important work of art and reminder of our history.
