Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. John’s,
A Word About Methods of Giving
A huge thank you to everyone who financially supported St. John's this past year, which enables us to continue our services, programs and outreach in the community. Your 2023 annual tax-deductible donation receipts will be available by the end of January. The 2024 pre-printed boxed sets of weekly or monthly giving envelopes are now available to be picked up from our Donor Administrator, Bev Provost. If you donate by weekly envelope, please note that in the coming year we are looking for ways to streamline this method of giving that will reduce costs and the waste of unused envelopes.
Here are 4 convenient ways parishioners might consider for giving:
*On any Sunday place any envelope in the plate with just your donation and Donor number on it, or your just name if you do not know your Donor Number.
*Obtain a box of monthly envelopes (one per month, plus special occasion envelopes).
*Set up PAD donating - Preauthorized Automatic bank debit or credit card donation, which happens on or about the 20th of each month.
*Please note you can still give extra at any time by using any envelope in the pew and marking your St. John’s Donor number on it or Donor number on it.
All these methods will result in one annual tax-deductible receipt from St. John's, that includes all of your donations throughout the year. We humbly encourage you to use PAD as the most cost-effective and efficient preferred option to donate to St. John's. You can also donate online through our website. However, please note these donations are receipted by Canada Helps, and therefore will not be part of your annual donation receipt from St. John's
Please contact Bev Provost, Donor Administrator, to ask for your envelopes, or a Donor number to use on pew envelopes, or to set up PAD, or to ask any questions you may have regarding options for donating and receiving an annual tax-deductible receipt at the end of each calendar year. We will have a wider discussion about this at our annual Vestry Meeting on Sunday, February 18. Once again, thank you for your continued and valued support of St. John’s Anglican Church
Yours In Christ,
