Another Refugee Family Co-Sponsorship Update

REFUGEE FAMILY CO-SPONSORSHIP UPDATE

Applications for all six of Mir's family members from Afghanistan were
submitted to the Canadian government in April. The government has already
completed their review of the sponsors (Mir and his group of friends) and
the co-sponsor (St. John) and OK'd this. Now they've moved on to a detailed
review and final decision regarding the family's applications. No time frame
for this was given.

Thank you for the many inquiries about the family and what you can do to
help them out. Right now, we can all continue to hold Mir and his family in
our thoughts and prayers.

To put our collective pent up interest and enthusiasm to use while we wait
we will be working with St John's and others to provide options for
effective refugee support. One current example is the PWRDF WILD ride,
fundraising to support refugees and internally displaced persons in
