Bruce Bodwell

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our dear brother in Christ, Bruce Bodwell.  Bruce died on the night of July 7 at Cedarview Lodge with family around him. 

Bruce was a lifelong member of St John's holding just about every role of leadership the Church offers.  Over many years he was instrumental in helpping steer St. John's though triumphs and challenges.  He and his wife Ann were honoured to be the first couple to be co-awarded and inducted into the Order Of The Diocese Of New Westminster.  It was fitting that this induction took place in his beloved St. John's, and given by Her Grace, Archbishop Melissa Skelton.

Bruce had a tremendous sense of humour and was was a sensitive and caring man to all who knew him.  He had a deep and abiding faith in God, and loved Anglican liturgy and sacramentality.  He was truly inspirational in his commitment to the St. John's community over the years, and he will be dearly missed.

*A memorial Service for Bruce will be held here at St. John's on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 10:30am.
