Memorail For Jim Lawrence

It is with sadness that the community of St John’s Anglican Church announces the death of Jim Lawrence.  Jim passed away on Tuesday, May 16.  On her Facebook page Donna, Jim’s daughter and our wonderful choir member and sister in Christ wrote, “If I can leave someone with a smile on their face, then I have done my job!"  He fought a very good fight, but sometimes the fight cannot be won. Dad lost his fight very early this morning, and now he is back together with Mom. After 88 years, he deserves the rest. Love you Dad!”

The whole Lawrence family have been very long time pillars of support and inspiration at St John’s.  Please do join us for the memorial service for Jim Lawrence at St John’s on Thursday, May 25 at 11:00am, with a lunch reception in the lower lounge of the Church immediately after the service.

May Jim rest in peace, and may he held in the love of God for ever and ever.  Amen.
